SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Senior Grant Walter (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) made the most of a return trip to his hometown, scoring the game-winning goal and handing the Lebanon Valley College men’s soccer team a big 1-0 Commonwealth Conference win over Susquehanna University Saturday afternoon.
Walter potted his seventh goal of the season in the 23rd minute on a corner pass from sophomore Fran Pitonyak (Langhorne, Pa./Holy Ghost) as the Valley improved to 9-4-2 and 3-2-1 in the Commonwealth. Junior Christian Koch (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) recorded two saves between the pipes and posted his second consecutive shutout for the Flying Dutchmen.
Susquehanna fell to 8-7 and 3-3 in conference play. Ryan Murray finished with 10 saves for the Crusaders.
