Lebanon Valley will welcome former York (Pa.) College standout Tim Hartung to its men’s and women’s cross country staffs as an assistant coach beginning this fall.
Hartung remains one of the most decorated distance runners in York (Pa.) history. He earned seven NCAA Division III All-America honors over the course of his career; twice for his cross country efforts, twice as a member of the indoor track & field team (5k and 3k), and three times during the outdoor season (10k (2x) and 5k).
In addition to his success-laden career as a Spartan, he was one of the Capital Athletic Conference’s (CAC) most accomplished runners. He was a five-time All-CAC Athlete of the Year, a three-time CAC men’s cross country champion, and a 14-time CAC indoor and outdoor track & field champion.
In addition to his prowess on the course and track, Hartung excelled in the classroom as well. He twice earned CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-America status.
