Aonghas Evanick was named the MAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Field Athlete of the Week after he had a strong day throwing at LVC's Mini Home Meet, as he qualified for the MAC Championships in the shot put, discus, and hammer. The graduate student won the discus with an AARTFC qualifying toss of 45.41 meters (149'0") on his second attempt. He finished third in the shot put with a throw of 13.24 meters (43'5.25") on his third attempt and third in the hammer with a toss of 46.42 meters (152'3") on his second throw. His discus mark is 21st nationally, fourth in the Mid-Atlantic Region, fifth in AARTFC, and leads the MAC. His hammer throw is fourth in the MAC and seventh in the Mid-Atlantic Region, while his shot put mark is fifth in the MAC and 12th in the region.
