Giovanni Sejuste was named the MAC Freedom Men's Basketball Player of the Week after he led the Dutchmen to two thrilling home conference wins, scoring 48 points and grabbing 18 rebounds while shooting 66.7 percent from the field. The guard started the week with his second double-double of the year, with 25 points and 10 rebounds to propel LVC to an 83-69 victory over FDU-Florham. The Dutchmen overcame a 20-point first-half deficit and outscored the Devils 57-30 in the second half. Sejuste scored 19 of his 25 points in the second half to power the comeback. The 57 points were the most in a half for the Dutchmen this season. The first-year finished the week with 23 points, eight rebounds, two blocks, and two steals in an exciting 79-76 overtime victory over Delaware Valley. He gave the Dutchmen the lead for good in overtime as he hit a turnaround jumper with 1:23 left to put LVC ahead 75-74. The guard finished the game with the ball in his hands after grabbing a defensive rebound on a three-point attempt by the Aggies. Sejuste has scored over 20 points in each of the past four games, is second in scoring during conference play with 21.7 points per game, and has a conference-leading .582 field goal percentage.
