Military Appreciation Night Central
 
HERSHEY, Pa. – On Friday evening, Dec. 2, Lebanon Valley's men's ice hockey team will host its seventh annual Military Appreciation Night when the Flying Dutchmen play host to Stevenson at Hersheypark Arena.
 
As the program has done in years past, LVC will be auctioning off special jerseys that each player will wear for the special contest. A $500 donation to the cause will also allow fans to customize the same type of jerseys the Dutchmen will wear on Military Appreciation Night.
 
Admission to the game is free, but donations towards veterans' charities are greatly appreciated. Limited edition Lebanon Valley College Military Appreciation Night t-shirts will also be available for purchase on campus and at Hersheypark Arena, and will continue to be on sale until the end of the game on Dec. 2.
 
Proceeds from the jersey auction, a silent auction, and the t-shirt sale will be donated to the Keystone Wounded Warriors and the LEEK Hunting and Mountain Preserve, both of which are dedicated to aiding veterans and their families in the state of Pennsylvania. LVC has raised more than $90,000 since the school's first Military Appreciation Night held seven years ago.
 
The night will culminate with the on-ice matchup between Lebanon Valley and the visiting Mustangs at 7 p.m. Servicemen and women from Fort Indiantown Gap are encouraged to attend the game. A color guard will be in attendance, while the national anthem and a performance of "Taps" by Lebanon Valley students will take place prior to the start of the game.
