GRANTHAM, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's season ended in the semifinal round of the 2016 MAC Commonwealth postseason tournament with a 5-0 loss at Messiah on Wednesday afternoon.
The Flying Dutchmen (6-12-1) fell behind in doubles play and were unable to catch up later in the match.
Jordan Heavel and Elliot Kleckner made things toughest on the Falcons (12-6), falling 8-4 to Dustin Innerst and Blake Ross in the third doubles contest.
Jonathan Hastings fell to Connor Graybel 6-2, 6-0 in the number two singles outing and Innerst's 6-1, 6-0 victory over
Elliott Kleckner in the number four solo matchup was enough to clinch the win for Messiah.
LVC ends the season with a 6-12-1 overall record after posting a 3-3-1 record in MAC Commonwealth play. The Falcons, the tournament's top seed, move on to face the winner of the other semifinal contest between Stevenson and Arcadia in Saturday's championship match.
