ANNVILLE, Pa. - After leading Lebanon Valley to a comeback win with three touchdowns at Albright, running back
Ben Guiles has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
It is the second MAC honor this season for Guiles; he also earned in week 1 after a five-touchdown performance against Gettysburg.
Guiles ran for 120 yards and scored all three of LVC's touchdowns – including two in the fourth quarter – to lead LVC over Albright 24-17. Trailing 17-10 coming into the fourth quarter, Guiles caught a three-yard TD running out of bounds to tie the game, then caught and ran for an 80-yard score on the first play of the next drive to finish a 17-0 swing for the Dutchmen. Guiles also scored a first-quarter rushing touchdown from seven yards out.
His rushing total also moved him into second on the all-time LVC list, giving him 3,191 career yard to surpass Rick Coleman '78.
LVC will return home Saturday to face FDU-Florham on Oktoberfest Weekend.
