ANNVILLE, Pa.
– Lebanon Valley College has announced the hiring of former Elizabethtown High School and West Chester University standout Janelle Garber as an assistant coach of women's basketball.

Garber will assist head coach Todd Goclowski and head assistant coach Catherine Andrews. Goclowski is entering his fifth season with the Dutchmen, while Andrews begins her third campaign. Goclowski posted his best season to date in 2010, leading LVC to a 23-5 overall record and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance.

Garber was a four-year letterwinner at Elizabethtown High School, totaling 1, 190 points in her career. She received numerous accolades during her senior year, including being named first team all-league and district. Along with earning co-MVP honors by the Lancaster-Lebanon League, Garber was selected to The New Era Lancaster-Lebanon League Coaches All-Star team.

She continued her playing career at West Chester University, lettering all four years. Garber was a three-time All-PSAC honoree, including garnering Second Team honors her senior year. She ended her career with 1,092 points and became just the 14th player in West Chester history to reach 1,000 career points.

“I'm very pleased that Janelle is joining our basketball family,” said head coach Todd Goclowski. “She is an accomplished student-athlete and a dynamic individual. She will be a terrific mentor for our players both on and off the court.”
