Three Medal On Final Day of ECACs

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Josh Light (100 meters), Zach Bleiler (shot put), and Joe Meehan (high jump) all turned in podium finishes as Lebanon Valley wrapped up the 2010 ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Springfield College on Friday.

In the 100, Light finished his career with a 10.90 into a slight headwind to finish tied in a dead heat with Gwynedd-Mercy's Daniel Dunkelberger for fourth, earning a podium spot. Light ran 10.82, a personal-best and the second-fastest 100 in LVC history, on Thursday in prelims to qualify through.

Meanwhile, in the field, Bleiler heaved a 14.86m (48-9) shot put, a personal-best and third on the LVC top-10 list, to finish fourth overall. It is his second career ECAC outdoor medal after an eighth-place in the discus last year. In the high jump, Meehan cleared a personal-best 1.96m (6-5) to finish eighth and on the podium.

On the track, the women's 4x400 relay of Meggy McLean, Megan Long, Alisha Farrell, and Johanna Walker re-set their own program record by almost three seconds, running 4:03.29 to better their 4:05.99 set at the Penn Relays earlier this year. They finished 13th overall.

Individually, Long was 16th in the 1,500-meter run, finishing in 4:47.33

LVC had both 4x100 relays in action on Friday;  The men's 4x100 (Justin Lee, Caleb Wiley, Wes Rockwell, and Light) ran 43.75 to place 11th overall, while the women's 4x100 (Allix Sanders, Katie Evison, McLean, and Walker) finished 12th in 50.83.
