SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -
Josh Light (100 meters),
Zach Bleiler (shot put), and
Joe Meehan (high jump) all turned in podium finishes as Lebanon Valley wrapped up the 2010 ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Springfield College on Friday.
In the 100, Light finished his career with a 10.90 into a slight headwind to finish tied in a dead heat with Gwynedd-Mercy's Daniel Dunkelberger for fourth, earning a podium spot. Light ran 10.82, a personal-best and the second-fastest 100 in LVC history, on Thursday in prelims to qualify through.
Meanwhile, in the field, Bleiler heaved a 14.86m (48-9) shot put, a personal-best and third on the LVC top-10 list, to finish fourth overall. It is his second career ECAC outdoor medal after an eighth-place in the discus last year. In the high jump, Meehan cleared a personal-best 1.96m (6-5) to finish eighth and on the podium.
On the track, the women's 4x400 relay of
Meggy McLean,
Megan Long,
Alisha Farrell, and
Johanna Walker re-set their own program record by almost three seconds, running 4:03.29 to better their 4:05.99 set at the Penn Relays earlier this year. They finished 13th overall.
Individually, Long was 16th in the 1,500-meter run, finishing in 4:47.33
LVC had both 4x100 relays in action on Friday; The men's 4x100 (
Justin Lee,
Caleb Wiley,
Wes Rockwell, and Light) ran 43.75 to place 11th overall, while the women's 4x100 (
Allix Sanders,
Katie Evison, McLean, and Walker) finished 12th in 50.83.
