SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Lebanon Valley will send 13 student-athletes to the 2010 ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Springfield College this Thursday and Friday.

On the men's side, three field athletes lead the qualifiers for the Dutchmen with Clint Surgeoner, Zach Bleiler, and Joe Meehan. Surgeoner is an NCAA provisional qualifier in the javelin at 58.64m (192-4) and will be chasing the automatic mark of 62.50m (205-1). Bleiler has qualified in two events, the hammer and shot put, throwing 49.24m (161-6) in the hammer and 14.63m (48-0) in the shot. Meehan qualified in the high jump with his 1.93m (6-4) clearance at MAC Championships that won him a bronze medal.

On the track, Josh Light is LVC's lone individual qualifier, running 10.93 seconds in the 100-meter dash to get in, but he will also anchor the men's 4x100. The relay of Justin Lee, Caleb Wiley, Wes Rockwell, and Light qualified with a time of 43.62.

For the women, Johanna Walker, the MAC's Track Athlete of the Year, is a triple individual qualifier in the 100, 200, and 100-hurdles, but will run just the hurdles while also anchoring two relays for the women, the 4x100 and 4x400. Walker qualified in 15.68 seconds in the 100 hurdles, re-setting her school record, while the 4x100 relay (Allix Sanders, Katie Evison, Meggy McLean, Walker) ran a school-record 49.70 and the 4x400 (Megan Long, Alisha Farrell, McLean, Walker) also broke the program record in 4:05.99.

Long will also run individually in the 1,500 after earning silver at MACs; she qualified with a 4:44.20 season-best.
