ANNVILLE, Pa. – Tenth-ranked Johns Hopkins piled on 17 hits as it ran away with a 14-5 win over Lebanon Valley Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference game.
The Dutchmen (14-7) gave up 11 runs through the first five innings to the Blue Jays (21-3), in the first meeting between the two teams since 1976.
Johns Hopkins started the game with one run scoring in the first inning and four more runs crossing home plate in the second in to take a 5-0 lead. Lee Bolyard's two run home run to center started off the scoring in the second inning.
Lebanon Valley stormed back in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on seven hits. Senior
Grant Wiest started off with a single to left and advanced to second off an error. Sophomore

Dustin Deibert continued, hitting back-to-back singles to left field to load the bases. Freshman
Derek Brousseau notched a double to right, scoring two runs and a ground out scored another run. Sophomore
Colt Zarilla batted in the final run of the inning with a single.
The Blue Jays added a run in the third inning to reclaim the lead with a solo home run from Dave Kahn.
Johns Hopkins posted five runs in the fifth inning to put the game out of reach. Chris Huisman and Stephen Bejsiuk both homered in the inning for the Blue Jays. Johns Hopkins added two runs in the sixth and one more in the seventh to seal the win.

Peter Moro started on the mound for LVC and pitched three innings. Senior
Josh Muscalus relieved Moro, pitching three innings and suffering the loss. Wiest and Deibert finished the game pitching for LVC.
The Dutchmen travel to Glenside, Pa., on Friday for a single game with Arcadia beginning at 3:30 p.m. LVC then hosts the Knights on Saturday for a doubleheader at noon.
