QUENTIN, Pa. - The 2010 LVC Golf Outing saw 124 friends and alumni of the LVC football program come out and support a great cause April 23 at Fairview Golf Course.
While the tournament is normally a fund-raiser for the football program, this year all proceeds went to benefit the Nick Pantalone Fund at the West Shore Foundation, set up to assist the Pantalone family as
Nick battles a rare form of cancer. Nick's father,
Vince, is an assistant coach with LVC football, and his sister
Rachel is a junior on the LVC field hockey team. In total, the tournament raised more than $7,500 towards the foundation.
The tournament was highlighted by a hole-in-one by
Corey Mattern '96 on the par-3 15th, and 84-year-old
Pete Gamber '48 shot below his age with parter
Bob Gustin '53 with an 81 in the two-person scramble.
