ANNVILLE, Pa. - Junior
Shane Specht was tabbed as Commonwealth Conference Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Specht appeared in two games last week, starting both and claiming the victory in one for a 0.82 ERA. Through 11.0 innings of work, he allowed just one run on nine hits, two walks and struck out nine.
Against Elizabethtown, he pitched four innings, allowing one run and striking out five. In the second game of a doubleheader with Arcadia, Specht pitched the complete game for his third win of the season and first shutout of the season, striking out four.
The honor is the first of Specht's career, and marks the third player of the week honor this season for Lebanon Valley.
LVC travels to Susquehanna Thursday for a single game beginning at 4 p.m.
