ANNVILLE, Pa. - Sophomore
Joe Meehan has been named First-Team All-Commonwealth Conference, it was announced Tuesday.
The point guard, who was last year's CC Rookie of the Year, was joined on the first team by Eric Anthony (Lycoming), Mike Church (Elizabethtown), Tad Gillis (Alvernia), and player of the year Zac Shaeffer (Albright). Lycoming's Jerald Williams was rookie of the year, and Warriors coach Guy Rancourt earned coach of the year honors.
Matt Ashcroft (Albright), Keith Fogel (Elizabethtown), Will Kelly (Lycoming), Kyle Snyder (Messiah), and Jamie Yoder (Messiah) earned second-team spots.
Meehan was third in the CC in scoring (16.5 ppg), assists (5.0 apg), and minutes played (36.7 mpg), and was also ranked sixth in steals (1.92 spg) and fourth in assist/turnover ratio (1.51). He led LVC in each of those categories this season as a sophomore tri-captain.
