Box Score

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley scored five in the fourth quarter to pull away and win its home debut on Wednesday, topping Husson University 12-7 at Arnold Field.

The Dutchmen (2-0) were playing at Arnold Field for the first time since April 17, 1985. LVC kicked off the new era of men's lacrosse on Saturday with a win over Mount Saint Mary College.

Brendon Cummings scored four goals - three of them in the fourth quarter - and added an assist to lead LVC, and Ian Schmid dished out three assists for the second straight game. CJ Adams and Ty Fosnacht added two-goal games.

Ben Landry netted five of Husson's (0-3) seven goals, including a spurt of three straight in the third quarter.

Steve Wildberger kicked off the scoring less than two minutes into the game, and Schmid made it 2-0 six minutes later. Husson's Nick Brown ended the first quarter with a goal to cut the lead in half, but LVC answered with two extra-man goals by Adams and Cummings to take a 4-1 lead.

Husson made it interesting with goals by Alex Ryan and Landry, but Scott Sutton scored with four minutes to go before the half and Fosnacht netted a man-down goal with 39 seconds left to take a 6-3 lead into the break.

The Eagles tightened the game up with three third-quarter goals by Landry, making it 7-6, but the Dutchmen reeled off five straight in the fourth, including three man-up goals. Kyle Stewardson started the run before Cumming scored three more - all assisted by Schmid - around a Fosnacht man-up tally.

Ethan Hilberg made eight saves to move to 2-0, while Tyler Quinn stopped 10 in the bulk of the minutes for the Eagles. Alex Behzad did not make a save in seven minutes of relief.

LVC will be home again Saturday to host Immaculata at noon.
