HERSHEY, Pa. - The Lebanon Valley College track & field program teamed up with LVC ice hockey on Jan. 22 to raise money in support of the Sunshine Foundation and in memory of their teammate,

The team raised more than $950 in donations at LVC's ice hockey game against Elmira, hosting "Bring A Kid To The Game Night" and providing activities for kids and youth hockey teams before and during the game. A bake sale also helped support the evening.
The Sunshine Foundation answers the dreams of chronically ill, seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children ages three to eighteen, whose families cannot fulfill their requests due to the financial strain that the child's illness may cause. LVC was supporting the organization in memory of Gallo, a rising sophomore and sprinter on the track team who passed away in an automobile accident in the summer of 2009.
