WILKES-BARRE, Pa.
- John Heenan and Kristen Zartman both set program records as they led LVC on the third and final day of the 2010 MAC Championships at the Christian Youth Center in Wilkes-Barre.

In the team standings, the women improved two spots from Saturday to finish sixth overall with 211 points, while the men also moved up a spot to finish seventh with 162 points.

Widener won the men's title, while Lycoming claimed the women's championship. Albright's Chris Sheerer and Lycoming's Lindsey Hunsicker were selected the meet's outstanding swimmers.

Heenan broke the 15 year-old program record in the 200-yard breaststroke in prelims, swimming 2:21.33 to get in under Bob Twining's 2:22.66 from 1995, but Heenan improved on that in finals with a seventh-place 2:20.97 to give him possession of three of LVC's four breaststroke records, having broken both meter marks earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Zartman took more than 13 seconds off the 1,650-yard freestyle record, finishing 14th in 20:08.76 to best Danielle Kern's mark of 20:22.17 set in 2006. Kris Roaten was also in under the record time in 20:21.99 to finish a spot behind in 15th.

In the men's 1,650, Ryan Humphries was 11th in 18:55.27, followed by Johnny Schoenberger in 12th in 19:03.00 and Tony Shipkowski in 15th in 19:21.35.

Charlie Robinson came in 15th in the 100 free in 59.53. Ashten O'Brien was eighth in the 200 breaststroke in 2:41.20, with Lisa Niethamer finishing ninth in 2:40.57 as winner of the B final. Mary Gardner was also 12th in the event in 2:42.33. Ally Birli turned in a 10th-place 2:32.61 in the 200 fly, and Humphries was 14th on the men's side in 2:26.35.

The women's 400-free relay finished fifth in 3:56.28, just 0.23 off the program mark, and the men's 400 free relay was seventh in 3:29.99.
