Icers Come Up Short Against Hobart

HERSHEY, Pa. – Lebanon Valley made a push late in the third period but came up short against Hobart Saturday afternoon at Hersheypark Arena. The Statesmen recorded a 6-4 win to sweep the two game series.  Sophomore Matthew Kisiday led the Dutchmen with two goals, while classmate George Nicholes added a goal and an assist.
 
Hobart controlled the game for the first period, scoring three goals to take the early lead. The Statesmen added two more early in the second frame before LVC responded. Matthew Kisiday notched his first goal at 9:28, with an assist from freshman Ilester Little. The two teamed up again at 14:42 to cut Hobart's lead.
 
The Statesmen added a tally at 8:37 in the third period to put the game out of reach. LVC made a strong push in the final moments of the game with Kyle Stewardson recording his first career goal at 17:33, a power play tally. George Nicholes posted a goal 22 seconds later, with assists from Anthony Longo and Matt Becker.
 
Freshman Daniel Rameriz made his third career start in goal for the Dutchmen, making 22 saves.
 
Lebanon Valley concludes the 2009-10 season at Neumann Friday, Feb. 19 with the game beginning at 7 p.m.
