HERSHEY, Pa. – Hobart used a five goal first period to jump out to an early lead and cruise to a 9-2 victory over Lebanon Valley Friday evening at Hersheypark Arena. Junior Brad Surdam and freshman Brent Davis recorded the goals for the Dutchmen.

Hobart came out firing in the first period, scoring the game's first four goals, including two from Gregory Cicola. LVC found the scoresheet at the 15:36 mark of the opening frame when junior Brad Surdam found the back of the net after a scrum in front, with assists from freshman Daniel Dempsey and classmate Rory Wilkowich.

The two teams remained scoreless in the second period, and LVC opened the third with a goal from freshman Brent Davis. Classmate Andrew Douse and sophomore Matthew Kisiday assisted on the goal.

Hobart added four goals in the final period to record the win.

Freshman Matthew Turner started in goal for the Dutchmen, making 10 saves. Junior Rich Drazin took over for Turner late in the first period and made 24 saves.

The two teams wrap up the two game series Saturday, February 13 at 3 p.m. LVC will honor its seniors in a ceremony prior to the start of the game.
