ANNVILLE, Pa. - Senior defensive end
Zach Bleiler and junior running back
Ben Guiles have been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference weekly honor role for their performance in Saturday's 28-13 win over Albright.
Guiles capped off a fantastic junior year as the MAC's leading rusher with a 142-yard, 2-touchdown performance to lead LVC past Albright for the first time since 2006. Guiles finishes the regular season with 1,285 yards and 17 touchdowns, both new LVC season records and tops in the conference. It was his seventh 100-yard game of the season.
On the other side of the ball, Bleiler produced 3.0 sacks among five tackles against Albright, and also blocked a PAT (his third kick block of the year). Bleiler's sacks give him 11.5 for the year, second-best in LVC history.
LVC (6-4, 5-2 MAC) has completed its regular season, but will await a possible ECAC Bowl berth when they announced Monday morning.
