ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Lebanon Valley College made its ACHA debut a successful one, coming from behind to beat Muhlenberg College, 6-4, in their 2010-11 opener.
The Dutchmen (1-0) took an early 3-0 lead before the Mules came back to take 4-3 lead in the second period, but three unanswered LVC goals in the third gave new Head Coach Tony Horacek his first win.
Colin Thompson scored twice on the power play in the first and added an assist, and four other Dutchmen lit the lamp as
Kyle Stewardson scored in the first and
Matt Kisiday,
Nick Schultz, and
Matt Conroy all scored in the third.
Corey Conte had a three-assist night;
Tyler Skroski,
Shaun Stamm, and
Timothy Bodenheimer also had helpers.
Rich Drazin made 27 saves to pick up the win.
LVC will host SUNY Cortland in his home opener Oct. 16 at Hersheypark Arena.
