Tetreault Named All-America by d3football.com

2009 d3football.com All-America Teams

ANNVILLE, Pa.
- Lebanon Valley College left tackle Sean Tetreault has one final honor to add to the trophy case - he's an all-American.

The senior, a native of Hughesville, Pa., was named a second-team All-America by d3football.com Saturday, the same day that he represented LVC and the United States along with classmate Charlie Parker in the Tazon de Estrellas senior all-star game in Mexico.

Tetreault is LVC's first all-American since Adam Brossman '08 earned the award from Football Gazette in 2007. Tetreault is the sixth Dutchman to be recognized by d3football.com and first since Scott Marek was a first-team tight end in 2003.

A first-team all-region, all-ECAC, and all-MAC selection, Tetreault blocked for an offense that averaged 222 rushing yards per game and 4.4 yards per carry in 2009 with a pair of 900-yard rushers behind him. The 6-3, 295-pound captain anchored an O-line that had the MAC's best run numbers for all four years of his tenure. In pass protection, LVC allowed just 13 sacks in 11 games this year.

After leading the Dutchmen to a program-best 9-2 record and a victory in the ECAC Southwest Bowl, Tetreault was selected to the Tazon de Estrellas ("Bowl of the Stars") game in Mexico City, where he played for Team Stars & Stripes in a 24-12 loss to a team of Mexican all-stars on Saturday.
