GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Lebanon Valley led for 39 minutes, but narrowly missed out on upsetting #9 Kean University as the Dutchmen fell, 55-52, at the Gettysburg College Days Inn Tournament on Friday.

The Dutchmen (6-3) will move into the consolation game on Saturday to face Gettysburg, a 66-62 overtime loser to Scranton in the tournament's nightcap, at 2 p.m.

A sloppy game for both teams came down to who took better care of the ball, and LVC's 25 turnovers led to 23 points for the Cougars (8-1). Kean coughed the ball up 19 times, including 15 turnovers in the first half.

Lori Lidlow led LVC with 16 points, and Eryn Schultz was 4-for-4 from beyond the arc for all 12 of her points. Suzie Noyes, playing in her first game of the season after an off-season injury, came off the bench for nine points and seven rebounds.

Cardiss Jackman drained 18 to lead Kean, and Ebony Jackson keyed the comeback with all 12 of her points coming in the second half.

LVC led from the start as both teams were slow to pick up the scoring. Kean kept it within six for nearly the entire half until a 6-0 spurt late in the half on back-to-back treys by Schultz and Noyes put LVC up eight just before the break. Danielle McFadden added a layup just before the buzzer to cut Lebanon Valley's lead to 27-21 at halftime.

The Dutchmen extended the lead to as much as nine points midway through the second half after consecutive layups by Noyes and Megan Bish, but Kean kept pace before hitting a 7-0 run to cut LVC's lead to two with 5:26 remaining.

LVC clung to the lead but fell into a scoring drought that started with Noyes' layup with 4:39 left and ended on Lidlow's three-pointer with 12 seconds to go. Only foul shots kept LVC apace, and Kean tied the game on Alysha Taylor's three with 1:44 to go before grabbing their first lead of the game off Jackson's 12-footer with 56 seconds left.

After a pair of Kean free throws, LVC faced a four-point deficit, and Lidlow's three gave them a glimmer of hope. After Jackman made two free throws to go up three, LVC had 10 seconds to look for a tying shot, but Kean, with three fouls to give, held LVC without a shot until Noyes' desperation three at the buzzer went wide.
